A journalist is required to help get the ‘Australian Journal of Dementia Care’ off the ground. The AJDC will be read by health and aged care staff from a wide variety of disciplines. It is intended to provide these staff with information that will assist them to apply new research and to make them aware of international examples of best practice care.
The initial contract will be for three months. The goal is to ensure that first two issues of the AJDC have a substantial number of attractively written, accessible articles that will help to put research into practice and promote up to date best practice in residential, community and health care for people with dementia.
The journalist will source these articles with the help of the editor and a wide network of contacts. He/she will also edit contributions from researchers and practitioners.
It is anticipated that the job will take 3 to 5 days per week for the three months . While it can be done remotely preference will be given to someone in the Sydney/Wollongong area.
