I helped build and launch a music website for a local songwriter and performer to exhibit his Rock Opera called Diode Yang. This particular website is built with Wix which was a great way to get going very quickly and at next to no cost. The music is loaded to SoundCloud and embedded with players. In the future, we may revisit this to build a similar website on dedicated hosting servers and without the ads. This website was a genuine pleasure to work on, and I genuinely hope this local musician gets his big break with his excellent work.
A management consultant asked for a few updates to his simple 3 page website with custom HTML and CSS. I was happy to oblige using just a basic FTP to retrieve and upload changes made in VS Code.
As a self-initiated project to help out my fellow small business owners during lockdown, I started a mini-directory with a simple format to help get the word out about other freelancers and small business startups, as well as to inspire us all a little bit to experiment with what's possible online during lockdown.
