Founder Brett Rainbow became a professional basketball player and signing his first contract at the young age of 16 years old. Brett was brought up in some of the toughest areas in Melbourne, Victoria. A natural athlete that showed lots of potential playing any sport at a high level. Brett was discovered and given his break at the professional NBL level back in 1992 by hall of fame coach Lindsay Gaze who saw him play for the first time with the Melbourne Tigers juniors.
Brett was immediately exposed to the best basketballers and coaches the game has ever seen and this played a huge roll in his toughness, skill, development and determination to be the best he could possibly be. Anything Brett achieved throughout his basketball career was always earned and never came easy, which has earnt him great respect of follow players and coaches.
