I offer confidential editing and proofreading to professionals in the Health, Research and Education sectors. I am also happy to help with data collection interviews and assessments, depending on your specific needs. Some of my experience has included:

*** Health writing - Nearly 10 years experience with public health programs in counselling, program management, and being a system expert, has given me ample experience in developing and documenting business processes, writing training resources, providing system users with clear communications about protocols and tips for maximising data quality, correspondence and report writing for a range of stakeholders and other user, client and stakeholder communications. I also have experience evaluating program data and writing/editing knowledge management articles for a large team.

*** Research writing - experience with several research projects, qualitative and quantitative methods, including literature reviews, proofreading/editing research materials, and editing journal articles. (Note for students: I will not write or edit academic work but will do proofreading at Masters level and above).

*** Research data collection - experience across the board including interviews, assessments, observations, surveys, focus groups and coding. Experience with health studies in particular.

*** Education - developing and proofreading learning resources (children and adults) and information resources for Uni students (course information; processes; study skills).

Particular interests include:

*** Health behaviour change - technologies, promotion/communications, and programs. Strong interest in preventative health, especially programs and initiatives that promote participation in physical activity (such as 10,000 Steps and Heart Foundation Walking) and chronic disease self management.

*** Individual experiences / impacts of significant life events and health conditions (trauma; illness/disease; career losses)

*** Interventions and approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindful exposure therapy for anxiety.

*** Access and equity in health, education and work/career development and initiatives to reduce the impact of disadvantage.

*** Plain English communications - Simplifying information (such as health information) to ensure it's accessible for those who need it most.

*** Initiatives that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and mid-life career transitions in the Health, Education and Employment sectors (such as internships, information, incubators, and flexible work models like portfolio careers, remote work, and job share.
