Hi there,

I am looking for someone with abilities in GIS that can create a couple of maps for a project. Project details are as follows.

DESCRIPTION/OUTPUTS

To assist with our project we are needing the following maps:

Map 1 - Context Map of Development/Study Area (the map will need to show main roads/transport corridors, major towns, and geographic boundary classifications - information will be provided)

Map 2 - Other Development Projects (the map will need to show the proposed development area as well as other proposed development projects in the surroundings areas - a list will be provided)

Map 3 - Facilities and Services located in close proximity to the development site (a map showing the proposed development and all facilities and services within a 1km radius– a list will be provided with addresses for mapping)

TIMEFRAME Draft Maps will need to be completed by no later than 12 January 2018 and Final Maps by 19th January 2018.

Hi Thao, I am a GIS professional with over 20 years experience, and would be happy to assist you with your requirements. I have worked across a range of industries such as mining, utilities and local and state government departments. I can provide a CV if required.

I propose to complete the task in 3 stages:

  1. Receive the information from you for the study area, other development projects and facilities and services. Convert the information into spatial layers and provide back to you on a map to confirm they are all correctly located.
  2. Confirm with yourself the required map presentation standards (size, style, colours, labelling, output formats etc.) and create the 3 draft maps.
  3. Work with you over 2 or 3 review cycles in order to finalise the maps, and provide the final PDF or image files.

I acknowledge your required delivery dates and can confirm that I am able to meet or exceed them.

Given my nearly decade long experience with GIS and remote sensing, frankly you may be hard pressed to find a better person for this job. Each map should take about 4 hours to generate and I've estimated the cost at about 50 dollars per hour for each of the three maps.
