Hi, I'm a skilled, experienced Australian developer. I've been doing web applications for nearly 20 years. My quoted rate is because I am an actual Australian professional doing the work in Australia. In my experience no project can get to production quicker than 3 months. It may not be 3 full working months but 3 months elapsed time. This is because there is always testing, there are always things that need tweaking and so forth. So I've quoted for 3 months at what is quite a cheap Australian rate. In fact if you went to a software house you'd be charged closer to $100-$150 / hour. I wouldn't trust anyone that says they can do the work well for $15-$25. Even the Indian developers I've managed cost that much in US dollars.
