After taking a look at your job offer, I can certainly help you with the shooting and editing side of your project.

I have been working as a camera operator for over 15 years and have shot a lot of live music over the years encompassing many different styles…with acts like Pearl Jam, Fatboy Slim, The Arctic Monkeys, Tom Jones, Taylor Swift and Kenny Rogers among some of the world famous acts I have filmed. Also, I have many years experience filming interviews and can work with you to produce the best result possible.

My edit suite can facilitate multi camera editing and would be available to cut the program together.

The interview section of the show should be fairly easy to complete, my main concern would be in the performance part of your project and I have two questions that arise from these concerns.

1, Who would be responsible for capturing the audio from the bands performance? If we are simply going to use a backing track from an existing recording they have made, then this is not a concern, but if we are looking at a large act, with many instruments playing live, that is a massive complication to the project and, whilst my skills in audio are fine to record simple interviews, multiple sources in a live environment is a whole set of skills that really would require a dedicated audio operator to capture.

2, What location have you sourced to film the performance in, and would it need to be lit? Again, I can supply a couple of lights that would make the interview look great, but if we are inside in a performance space and need to create a nice looking result, we should be looking at hiring a gaffer and a truck to make the most of the space. I do have contacts in this field and can provide you with a quote if you need it.

So I can get an idea of what you are after, can you also let me know a bit more about your project?

Do you have a delivery format that you are after…does it need to be 4K or is 1080 sufficient? Will you be supplying the cameras or are these to be part of the quote?
How many songs will the band perform and will they be able to do each song more than once?
