A bit of tongue-in-cheek common sense and larrikin humour make for knee slapping radio as Jack and Ian recount their stone-faced encounters with some of Sydney’s strangest believers in conspiracies and the paranormal. The duo take a hands on approach, seeking out the various bizarre meetups occurring each week around Sydney. They're not out to mock these sincere and often friendly believers; instead, they just want to go along and throw in their two cents on why such outrageous things get traction. “What you’ll often find at these meet ups are a bunch of people who just want to make sense of some weird experience they’ve had,” says Perry, who currently studies Psychology at Sydney University. “Take our chat with Dr Floyd. He said he saw a yowie right when the sun was going down, when we can’t see properly and our eyes are most likely to play tricks on us. He probably saw a wild cat running through the bush and – ‘cause the light was bad – thought it was way bigger. How did he make sense of that? Yowies.”
