Got a book in you, but not know where to start?
Written a manuscript, and need some feedback?
Ready to take the plunge and self-publish?
When I self-published my memoir, Saving St Brigid’s, the last thing I expected was to score a job as Director of Publishing in a commercial publishing house. It goes to show that a well written book can take you places you never thought you'd go! And so having now published dozens of books on both sides of the publishing ‘fence’, I can help you decide which path is best for you.
Whether you need a writing coach to simply get started, or an editor to fine tune your story, I can support you through every step of the process. Maybe you need a book designer, or advice on how to market and sell your book? Trust me, I’ve done those hard yards and am well recognised for my generosity in sharing my knowledge. I can be the ‘one stop shop’ you’re looking for.
Now, as the founding director of Laneway Press, I most love to work with authors who like to challenge the status quo.
'A once in a blue moon book', The Age/Sydney Morning Herald:
“This is one of those books that comes along once in the blue moon. The kind that arrives unheralded, without literary pedigree or fanfare, without glitz or commercial appeal. And it blows your socks off. No summary can do it justice. To say that it’s the story of the efforts of an Irish-Catholic community near Tower Hill in Western Victoria to save their local church is probably yawn-inspiring. And yet Regina Lane, whose family history is intimately bound up in this church, has written a passionate, rousing, historically significant page-turner that, as Shane Howard puts it, transcends the ‘‘local now’’ to raise big questions about power, justice and the spirit of place. As the story of a community’s struggle to be heard by a complacent church hierarchy, it’s also extremely topical at a time when the Catholic Church is under scrutiny for other abuses of it power. A truly wonderful tale”.

After experiencing her powerful guided meditation, I threw my weight behind psychotherapist, Pauline McKinnon to completely revise her ground-breaking book, In Stillness Conquer Fear – both a personal account of living with the debilitating condition of agoraphobia and an introduction to Stillness Meditation Therapy (SMT®) and its proven capacity to change the lives of anxiety sufferers.
‘I owe a gratitude to Regina for her visionary attitude to this refreshing adaptation of the original book and her joyful support along the way’.

I'm really proud of this product (as someone who loves a good topical debate!) that I co-wrote. Thinking Ethically is a brand new teaching resource that provides a framework for discussing challenging topics in a classroom environment. It covers a variety of themes that relate to ethical dilemmas in today’s society and provides students with the tools they need to explore these issues and make informed decisions.
The unique format of this resource promotes engagement in dialogue or debate. The student card set comes in a pack of 120 cards – there are 20 topics, six cards of each, making them ideal for small group work.
An organisation I co-founded and directed - and did ALOT of writing for!
Don't forget to say you found them on
