I have many years of experience working for web agencies as well as running my own businesses in creating self-contained websites, WordPress websites, working with WooCommerce and building larger web applications with backend languages such as PHP and MySQL.

Jacqui from MMW Trademarks has been a long time client of mine; I originally did her original website and then she came to me and felt it was time for an update to make her site more modern, mobile-responsiveness and generally just give it a more fresh look.

Jacqui was looking for her new website to be professional, yet still remain friendly and I think this was achieved by featuring photos of herself around the site and detailing her experience and services she provides on the about us and why choose us pages.

QOTM Online Trademark Application

A client with an existing website approached me to build an online trademark application system so their clients could search and apply for their trademarks online.

The functionality of this form included:

  • User could apply for trademarks for terms and/or logos
  • User needs to be able to pick all the goods/services they wanted to apply their trademark against
  • User needs to be able to review their entered information and edit it if necessary
  • Automatic fee calculation show to the user
  • Admin notification of certain states of the application process (review, payment problems, payment complete etc)
  • On application user pays for application via Paypal
  • Admin receives order email with all information and user receives confirmation email of order with their order details
