My name is Matt Patterson and I live in Gold Coast, Australia. I strive to use my skills to create custom web applications to satisfy your project requirements.

I am a fast and diligent worker, having worked in the web industry for over 6 years. Over the years I have built many web applications in PHP and Ruby, using many frameworks including Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Wordpress, Craft CMS etc. I am extremely fluent in HTML, CSS and JS, having used a multitude of HTML/CSS frameworks in the past.

Huxley School of Makeup

Huxley school of makeup required a brand new, stylish website in order to gain traction and maintain a modern look. Wordpress was integrated for a flexible, and client-friendly CMS so that the staff was able to manage the content without the need of a future developer.

A modern CSS/HTML framework called Bulma, which uses flexbox for the grid, was used to build the layout.

The website now loads 200% faster than the previous website, and gains a lot more traffic. It is also much easier to update and manage the content and they can always seek my skills to update the functionality.

Tails of the Forgotten

This was a non-for-profit charity site co-created by myself and Jaymie Jones (founder of Coder Catchup). The website includes api calls to PetRescue (adoption company) and custom adoption forms.

This website is my portfolio which I use to display my best websites I have produced.

I built this using Jekyll and it is hosted on Github Pages.

Oppyfinder API

This is a personal project of mine. I have been building an application that finds op shops around Australia using Google Maps Place Search. The op shops can be accessed using the API I built into the application. The next plan in the project is to build a frontend in react for mobile and desktop.
