Back in 1992 immigration to Australia was a novel idea in Eastern Europe. Across the oceans, on the world's largest island, migrants were welcome under Paul Keating's multicultural Australia. Things have changed a lot since then, and I'm not sure for the better ... This is our family's story - about the decision to choose where our true home is, the emotional road we travelled, the steps of the "skilled immigration" process that we climbed, and the building of our new life in Australia.
