Joomla CMS and WordPress CMS

I use and recommend the free and open source Joomla and WordPress content management systems which can be extended to just about any purpose and are easy for non-technical users to maintain themselves.

Portability

An open source CMS like Joomla or WordPress or similar can be hosted with any reputable web hosting company and can be maintained by anyone. The advantage is that you are not locked in to any monthly fee or any particular service provider and can take your business elsewhere if you find a better deal!

In addition to creating websites, I also offer maintenance, security, search engine optimisation and migration services.

I also customise templates or other extensions to your exact requirements and can custom code your exact business requirement where no suitable extension can be found.

Added Value

Webilicious has a growing list of developer subscriptions so that I can install the paid versions of many of the best templates, extensions and plugins at no additional cost to clients.

Basic on-site search engine optimisation is included with every new website.

Pricing

I quote a fixed price on a website and then an hourly rate for maintenance so you know exactly what the price will be before going ahead. There are no hidden costs! Remember that you also need to pay for domain registration (about $20/year) and web hosting (about $100/year).

Training

I can include a customised Administration Guide for your website to make it easier for you to maintain yourself. I can also offer one-on-one training if required.
