Need someone to make your good words truly great? I have been working in the publishing industry for twenty-five years and can offer an expert eye for all your editing and proofreading needs.

After a decade working as an in-house editor with award-winning publishers Allen & Unwin and Pan Macmillan, I first launched into the freelance world fifteen years ago and am now firmly established and highly experienced. I have worked with hundreds of established authors through many publishers, including Allen & Unwin, HarperCollins, Pan Macmillan, Hachette and ABC Books, as well as for numerous private clients, from first-timers to the experienced. I also have several years of experience working as a subeditor for comparison website finder.com.au.

The services I can provide include copy editing, proofreading, project management, manuscript assessment, subediting, structural editing, fact checking and plain English rewriting. My areas of interest include fiction (literary, commercial, fantasy, science fiction), children’s and young adult, sport, memoir, history, narrative non-fiction, science, craft and cooking, to name just a few.
