What to do if I can’t find a wedding dress? At Bridal Secrets, we know that for some women finding a wedding dress is a simple and fast process, while, for others, it can be a struggle. You have probably tried on dozens of wedding dresses and you still can’t decide. Don’t panic, the perfect wedding dress for you is out there! Here are Bridal Secrets top tips to help you find the right wedding dress for you: • Don’t be worried about the fit. There’s a good chance that a sample wedding dress isn’t going to fit you perfectly, while your consultant will probably use clips and pins to help you imagine what the dress will look like, you need to remember that the person altering your dress will be a professional and the dress will look amazing. So, try and ignore all those concerns about an ill-fitting dress. • If you have fallen in love with a dress and want to make a few small changes – ask. In most cases, dresses can have sleeves added or beading removed. • Pick one important feature and forget the rest. You may have a list of what you are looking for in a dress, unfortunately, while that dress might exist, it may not be within your budget. If you are still struggling to choose, pick one main feature of the gown and focus on that. For example, if you are looking for a mermaid silhouette the Pronovias Ercilia may be the gown for you, embroidered tulle with beading fitted at the waist intended to emphasize your figure while accentuating the suggestive silhouettes, a sweetheart neckline and thread-embroidered flowers that disappear on the lower part of the skirt. • Think about how it feels, rather than how it fits. How does the wedding dress make you feel? Do you want to look feminine and sweet on your wedding day or glamorous and sexy? Let your dress consultant know so she can help find the dress that’s right for you. The one that suits your style, body shape, and budget. • Cut down the number of girls you bring with you. The problem might not be the dress, but who you are shopping with. If you bring a crowd with you, you may find that different opinions are stressing you out, leading you to believe the perfect dress isn’t out there. Next time you go shopping, take just one friend or family member or even try shopping on your own. You may find that fewer opinions make finding your dream dress a lot easier. • Consider adding a few accessories. Well-chosen accessories can change the look and feel of a wedding dress. Next time you try on a dress you like, ask your consultant if you can try it on with a veil or sash. The addition of a great accessory can make a dress go from so-so to stunning.
