Firmware for a PIC 18F452 micro controller. Programming in MikroC. Some existing code can be reused (RS-485). This is a relatively simple motor control application for accurate positioning of an item. Custom circuit board - existing. 1 or 2 high speed counting inputs, interrupt on change. Analogue input (0-10V) 2 limit switch inputs. PWM motor drive output. Motor direction output. RS-485 for debugging & testing. The project would need to produce an initial versions for testing with additional test functions and data dump via RS-485 and then a final production version of the code.
The main challenge will be getting accurate control of the motor position with very short run pulses.
