We're looking to start a Resource Centre section on businessesVIEW.com.au
businessesVIEW is an online brokers portal where consumers can explore businesses for sale within Australia, however our brand is most prominent in Victoria, we have a huge range of businesses for sale including retail, industrial, construction & more. We’re looking to introduce this resource centre to offer practical tips, insights and advice to help business buyers/sellers on their journey. “Whether you’re buying, selling, managing or growing a business, you’ll find everything you need to make an informed business decision.”
In terms of what we’d be interested in writing about, as a starting point, if we could look at one of the following to get an idea of time and cost involved then we’ll both be in a better light to move forward.
Some thought starters for the ‘buying’ content-pillar are below;
Should I buy a business? Readers will use this article to examine their motivations for buying a business. Through this process, they can hope to gain some perspective on the ins-and-outs of running a business, and how their initial motivations might hold up under these pressures. This should also highlight the non-financial benefits of owning a business.
The easy way to choose which business to buy A step-by-step guide to help an individual determine what business is right for them based on their personality, knowledge and skills. This should be a survey/decision tree type approach similar to that provided at schools to help students determine a relevant career.
etc
With over a decade's worth of experience in the communication industry, I have the skill and expertise to undertake your job pairing meticulous research with reader-resonant content. I am well-versed with writing blog content for the Australian market and contribute weekly to blogs for several local businesses. I would love to tackle your project, keeping your ideas in mind and contributing a few of my own. I charge a fee of $40 per 500 words.
Hi Genie,
I am a business adviser (and studied business and law at La Trobe Uni) focusing on helping startups launch or young/small businesses expand. I focus on helping them navigate the hoops and decision-making challenges of a new venture, so I'm sure that this project could put my knowledge to good use.
In terms of writing work, projects I have worked on include providing the background research for the ShieldGEO project (shieldgeo.com) which is similarly a resource center, but as a "how to" for establishing business operations in a given country (appropriate for foreign businesses or local startups). I've also written news, business and academically-orientated articles, such as discussing the state of innovation in Australia (http://www.innovationcafe.com.au/swanson-reed/) to white papers on entrepreneurship or intellectual property.
Rate-wise would depend on how big the articles are, how frequent, how detailed, etc. but I'm happy to work on a per word/size basis, my usual rate is $40/500 words, and usually 24-72 hours turnaround time per article is possible.
. Best regards,
James Carstensen
