About the project

Hi talented developers and coders!

I'm building a marketplace/community/membership site aimed at matching up like-minded businesses for marketing purposes. It's a very specific and niche market and I've already bought an 'out of the box' membership plugin to test and prove MVP. I've got over 30 businesses trialling the platform and giving feedback but it's time to get quotes for taking this to the next level.

Ideally I'd like someone to code this from scratch rather than editing and frankenstein-ing (yep, that's a word now!) the existing plugin and help make recommendations from their experience about the platforms and languages that should be used to create it. I've just popped in a bunch of programming languages to hopefully catch your eye!

It would be great if you are Queensland based, preferably Brisbane and surrounds but Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast is also cool. I'm really excited to bring this idea to life and would love someone to share my enthusiasm and passion for making it a reality!

    Hi Suki,

1- You want on-site development or remote ? Why location based? 2- Please provide the details of existing market place working OR demo because it will give us the complete scope of work and boundries of the project SO we shall be able to calculate cost of work in terms of time and money. 3- what is your preferred language, and Framework?

    Many Thanks IT Sourcing Australia

Hi It Sourcing Australia 1- You want on-site development or remote ? Why location based? I prefer Australia-based to support a fellow Australian business and for ease of communication with timezones. I will also hopefully be applying for retrospective grants from the QLD government and feel supporting Australian companies will make a better application. Work can be completed remotely but it would be great to meet the developer hence the local request. 2- Please provide the details of existing market place working OR demo because it will give us the complete scope of work and boundries of the project SO we shall be able to calculate cost of work in terms of time and money. The trial platform is based on Ultimate Member as a basis - but I need extra functionality such as notifications when someone posts on the site-wide activity wall and matching profiles based on keywords and tags. I don't want to provide too much info without an NDA but looking at Ultimate Member will give you a good idea of what I'm basing the platform on. 3- what is your preferred language, and Framework? In terms of language and framework I'm open to suggestions from developers - after all it's your domain of expertise!

      Hi IT Sourcing Australia,

      Apologies for the delay.

      1. OK thanks
      2. As the platform hasn't launched yet, I have no idea how popular it will be! Ideally it will become huge, but of course it will start off small. Essential to the platform brief will be the ability to scale to handle large volumes of users as the platform grows.
      3. The platform is more of a 'job board' style, the companies that sign up will NOT be selling anything, no transactions will take place beyond my monetising the platform. They will post an opportunity or listing and accept replies and offers.

Would you be available Friday to discuss the brief in more detail?

      Suki

    Hi Suki,

I am based on Sydney but working full time as well. However, I can lead the project and freelance to my team abroad taking full accountability of its development and quality. I would like to know more details about the project if you are interested. Thanks for your time and consideration.

    Kind Regards, Rajan
