My business is sponsoring a conference and I am looking for a designer to incorporate my logo into some advertising collateral to be used in the conference promotional material, essentially design a simple ad that can be tailored to a variety of sizes both online and print.

You are best to use InDesign to do this, then you can embed any file types (Illustrator or Photoshop). InDesign exports for web but it is essential to use this programme for print work. Should only be a couple of hours work...given you already have a logo. I am locked in with this bidding system but I only charge for what I do regardless of the quote.
