Graphic Designer task
Mediaplanet Publishing House is seeking freelance editorial designers to work on a project-by-project basis, in house and with an opportunity to work from home (depending on experience and reliability). Must have editorial/publishing experience. The ideal candidate is used to working under the pressure of short deadlines and quick turn around time in a fast paced environment. Can operate as an individual and as part of a team with the ability to problem solve quickly. Highly organised with an eye for detail and great communication skills over different mediums: email, phone, and in person. Print production experience is preferred. Must be advanced in Adobe Creative Suite.
At least 1 year of experience working in editorial/publishing. Strong typographical skills and ability to work with layout templates. Must be advanced in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Must own your own laptop with Adobe Creative Suite.

I am able to work from Thursday to Sunday. Cause I am currently working in a busy newspaper industry from Monday to Wednesday, as a editor and designer. Well communicate with clients through email, phone, and in person in a patient and polite manner.
I owned my own Adobe Master Collection on my laptop, and advanced in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Able to work under pressure of short deadlines. Can work without supervision. Sensitive with colour, thinking out of square.

Hi Gustav, Thank you for the opportunity to quote on this project. As a designer with 15 years experience I can offer you quality and an efficient fast turn around on your requested projects. Several years of my industry experience were spent as the editor and designer of publications within the Sydney University Union, where I was in charge of creating the daily union publication, The Daily Bull as well as the bi-monthly publications The Beefy Bull. In addition, I was directly involved in producing the Unions Annual Reports and many other departmental specific publications that were required. In 2008 I was also the designer and editor of a 156 page publication for a charity fundraiser, where I compiled the entire magazine within a 2 week period. Not only do I have specific publications experience, but having run my own business successfully for the past 5 years, I have developed the ability to handle many projects and clients simultaneously while still providing outstanding service and finished designs. I of course own my own Macbook pro with all the latest Adobe Create Suite. I know Illustrator and Photoshop inside out, and while I am also proficient in Indesign, QuarkXpress is what I learnt page layout on, so am faster and more proficient in that program. I currently work with clients in Australia and Internationally, so am well versed at working remotely.
