Hello, I have written feature articles on many topics, mainly economics and politics. However I have a strong interest in the NRL in particular, and AFL and A League to a lesser extent.

Thanks for considering my bid, Todd.

Hi, could you please provide the frequency and amount of content you would looking to receive? Thank you, Steve Murray Melbourne

BigFooty

We're looking for occasional feature pieces of 900-1500 words from experienced AFL writers to supplement our team of about 15 contributors. The contributors range from high school kids interested in journalism, Uni journalism students to a few working journos who love footy.

So maybe one a month to start.

These will be posted to our new BigFooty News site, the teasers streamed to the BigFooty home page and a selection of items going out via email each week to about 40,000 subscribers. Think Crikey, but smaller and for footy. The term 'online magazine' seems to be thrown around a bit.

Features from professional freelancers can only benefit our student contributors through exposure to good articles. So there is scope to become more a part of the group and pass on a bit of knowledge.

If you're interested, do you have examples of your work?
