I'm looking for a cool lounge cushion design.

I want you to create a Sailor Jerry tattoo style design of Steve Job's famous "and one more thing...".

I'm thinking the text in a tattoo style font on a swirling banner. The banner is wrapped around a tattoo stylised version of Apple (computers)'s logo (the apple with a bite out of it). But the whole thing, including the apple, will look like a tattoo.

You've probably seen loads of this design around, but it's normally a heart in the middle (see example 1).

The Technical Details
The design should be best at 40cm by 40cm
I'll be screen printing these, so one or two colours only please.
The design will be printed on beige / off white material, so please account for that in your design.

Vector Adobe Illustrator Files
 Requirements:
 -Please outline all fonts
-No embedded raster (eg. jpg) files.
File extensions accepted:

  • Encapsulated Post Script (".eps")
- Adobe Illustrator File (".ai") All copyright will be mine and I'll need the original layered files

If you're interested, please get in touch. I'm looking for someone to work with on a regular basis if this works out.

We're a new Sydney based online start up specialising in cool, quirky soft home decorations (think cushions, wall decals, ornaments and prints).

Within the next couple of weeks I'm looking to launch with half a dozen custom printed cushions for the lounge room. These will be 45x45cm, and offwhite / beige in colour.

And I'm looking to you for the design!

  • About Our Audience: * Our target market will be young, urban hipster types. Either students or young professionals, they live either with their partner, or in a share house with their friends. They love music, clubs, going out and food. They wear ironic t-shirts, trendy jeans, dress like it's the 50s, or in geek chic. In short, they are cool and they know it. Think of us as american clothing brand "Urban Outfitters" for the home.

  • I'm looking for a partner * I'm really hoping to find someone that I can work with on an ongoing basis. Once our launch range is ready and we've made a few sales, I'd like to launch a new design every week.

  • About You * You're well versed in pop culture, spend way too much time on the internet, listen to music and above all, absolutely live for design. I'll be screen printing the cushions, so if you've got experience designing for t-shirts, canvas bags etc, that would be looked favourably upon.

  • About Me * I'm an online marketing professional in Sydney. I work closely with designers on a daily basis, so I'm great with communication, giving constructive feedback and generally being an awesome client :)

Eklektik Creative

Thanks for the opportunity to quote on this project. I must say I was pretty excited when I read your job post. Not only does the job description sound exciting but I believe I have the exact skills and experience you are seeking. I am an artist and designer, with 15 years experience in designing specifically in the homewares industry. My last position was as Creative Director in Montreal Canada for a homewares company, where we sold mainly to the Canadian and American markets, Urban Outfitters being one of our clients. My role was to design and conceive of new designs twice yearly for the industry markets and to stay on top of trend forecasting. Within this position I designed anything from cushions, to repeats for fabrics, to wall art to shower curtains, to dinnerware and tableware, and in my spare time I create my own artworks, a few samples of all of these are represented in my Ozlance portfolio. Since making the move to being a sole trader in 2009 I have been working with several homewares companies designing dinnerware, glassware, fabric repeats and packaging. I would describe my style as urban cool, but I am also very adaptable and can work in any style necessary. Like I said your project really excites me and I would love to work with you on this and future projects. Please feel free to check out my personal website where there is a small array of projects I have worked on - www.alexandrawoolcott.com. In terms of the quote I have provided you with my hourly rate , based on 4 hours work. It is difficult at this stage to know how long a design like this would take, but I would say between 2 - 6 hours work. Please feel free to contact me via email if you would like to discuss this further. Even though this is my standard rate, as you are a startup, I would be willing to discuss costs with you to ensure both parties were happy with the outcome. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Kind regards, Alexandra Woolcott …………………………………………………………………………………… Alexandra Woolcott | email: alex@alexandrawoolcott.com | website: http://www.alexandrawoolcott.com | skype: blinkgraphix
