About the project

You are requested to make a vast portfolio of art and design with the purpose of reviewing/criticizing or parodying/satirizing an art set that will be made available to you. You are to do so in a uniform and unique style, with the approval of the job poster. To test this, you will complete your version on completed work and then check for the approval of the job poster. You are not to make any copyright infringements and at the end of your portfolio hand over all rights to the job poster without making any of the art you make publicly available or disclosure your work professionally any other how.

Hi there, sounds like a cool project to work with. Would you like to provide a sample of what type of artwork you are requesting for i.e. a guideline or tips?

Thank you for your interest. Sadly I am not unable to since I do not have any. This project allows a lot of your own personal choice of artistic direction and theme. Likely, if I like your style that is what we can run with. However, it is important that your style is in fact somehow 'non-standard' in that respect.

It does not have to conform to typical norms in the world of graphic design and visual culture. All that is important is that the 'meanings' embedded in each image are somehow brought to the fore in an intellectual way. And, that the new artistic theme is consistent. Even if each image takes you about 4 minutes that's great.

Hi there, can you please provide more information as to exactly what needs to be created and expand more on why as the post is a bit cryptic. Thanks.

You will recieve: A set of images

      How many: About 100

What will they be: Generally art, 'meme images', some graphs, some quotes presented as artwork

What I want: Images 'satirising' them, their message, or the ideas.

      Pre-requisite: Graphic design skills

Challenge: Intellectual ability to satirise content in subtle and beautiful ways. It doesn't have to be so subtle though.

If you are asking yourself 'Am I good enough for this project', look at Reddit's circle-jerk meta reddit. If you are able to understand what is going on, you are ready.

Just to clarify, is the task to design the portfolio, or its contents and entirety?

    • Pobox4020 Client 28 Feb 2013 at 16:06

To design the portfolio's contents and entirety
