About the project

Hi,

I would like to know a ball-park cost figure for an app (for iPhone and Android platform) with the following functionality: Use of the map widget on the platform to generate route options based on some search criteria

With this ball-park cost figure I would like to know what exactly is included (as in what should I expect from you guys)? Such as server space, security features etc.

Also lastly, what sort of after sales services you provide (i.e. on-going maintenance, after hours support services etc.)?

    Hi Jude,

    I run a business called Spark Software, a Brisbane-based company which specialises in mobile application development.

    I can give you a ball-park figure of around $16,000.

    This figure depends a lot on

    • the specifics of your application
    • whether you have an existing design, graphics etc.

    As for on-going maintenance, after-hours support etc. You will receive 30 days of free bug-fixes and support. If, after this period, you require further maintenance there will be a fee of $80 p/h.

    Your posting also mentions server space, security features. If you require a back-end server to aggregate data or provide data feeds, the hosting fees will be $40 a month. This doesn't include the costs to develop or maintain the code.

    I would be more than happy to expand on any of this and provide a detailed quote via email or over the phone.

    Jude,

    The project cost includes Development of both the applications.It also covers hosting(server Space) and maintenance of the App for a period of 12 months.The maintenance would not include any new additions to the features and the functions of the app once the requirements have been frozen and the product has been delivered.It would be charged additionally at $25/hour.We shall be able to complete this app in 6-8 weeks plus the testing period.We would also be interested to do the marketing campaign for this app if you are interested.
