This sounds like a project that I would love to be involved in! I’m a graphic designer who has been in the industry for 20 years and running my own business for 16 years. I’m in Sydney, but I do currently have a client in Noosa, one in the Central Coast and one in Melbourne. With the internet these days, it’s really no different to working with any of my clients in Sydney. We can “meet” on skype and then work is pretty much all done over the phone and email.

With a logo, I would be more inclined to quote a price for the project, rather than an hourly rate. And I usually like to have a bit more info before quoting as a logo can vary from just a simple wordmark (only the name of the business), to a wordmark with an icon and a tagline (the wordmark and icon would work as stand alone items as well). So the amount of time needed can vary from just a couple of hours to a whole day, depending on what’s required. So just for now, until I have more info, I’m going to say ball park $200 – that’s for a wordmark with icon, 3 rounds of revisions and final files.

Regarding the the other items to be designed, it might work best to quote per project or might be easier to charge per hour. That’s something to be discussed probably after the logo is finalised. (My hourly rate is $68/hr.)

When I have completed a logo design, I supply the client with several final files to cover all (hopefully) possibilities: A colour logo, black logo and white logo. Horizontal and vertical versions if that applies. Files suitable for print (eps, pdf, jpg) and files suitable for web/email/word (png, jpg).
