WebSocket HTML5 Push Notifications App
I want a simple web site that will allow a back-stage manager and front of house tech crew to communicate theater show instructions and status's like "Set Changeover Complete - Lights UP"
It needs to run on a local web server over local wi-fi, (not necessarily connected to the Internet). Can be hosted on Windows 7 PC.
Clients must run on iPhone, iPad and Android, PC and Mac browsers and support multiple user roles:
The page will have the following sections:
Users will join the channel, (only 1 for now) and select their role and type in their name, (1 person per role).
They will receive instant updates on Stage Status and certain roles can use the buttons to change the status of the stage.
No security or encryption needed for now. No user configuration needed for now. Just a prototype we can test in our community theater company. I'd like the original code so I can modify and extend. I would like to be able to host it on a local PC based server or on a standard web-hosting service.
