Don't waste your time with java web framework.

    • MimiLux Client 3 Jun 2015 at 22:08

      Please elaborate?

  • Bison IT Solutions 4 Jun 2015 at 06:05

I don't recall saying don't waste you time???. Anyway what I meant to say was why do you want to use Java what are you hoping to achieve?. I use wordpress which can use Java, PHP, html etc. The reason I use wordpress is that in many cases you can get a theme that will pretty much do everything that you want with maybe a little customisation or adding a plugin. As the top web sites in the world use this system. Why?. because it is a content management system that still allows you to customise things. Commercial cms such as wix and weebly for example will allow you to customise things to a point and that is it. They are locked down to a large degree. Why do you need the website in Java?

    • MimiLux Client 5 Jun 2015 at 01:42

This question has had some surprising comments. I know sweet f.a. about building a website and ive come across some comments that make me wonder why i reached out to a freelance community.

  • nsw digital 4 Jun 2015 at 12:08

I think you mean to Javascript. Wordpress does not use java on backend it uses PHP on backend. But on frontend it uses javascript. Java and Javascript are completely different 2 things. Check this link https://java.com/en/download/faq/java_javascript.xml.

Do you have the experience to build a website with ruby on rails or node.js? I would to hear from you

"I know sweet f.a. about building a website and ive come across some comments that make me wonder why i reached out to a freelance community." MimiLux, you wouldn't tell a bricklayer how to mix his grout, you wouldn't tell an architect which software he should use. Unless, of course, you are an architect or a bricklayer and you know something they don't. That's why suggesting Java or making any suggestions is not a good idea.

Please send me an email, mattwithoos@gmail.com - I'm not going to try and win your business over, I want to help guide you through how to get your website built without getting ripped off by a freelancer and help you with the language to use. I just saw a comment from you about building a website on ruby/rails straight after the Java requirement and I think you're really all over the place at the moment. And throwing node.js in? Please, email me. Let's talk.
