You are expected to make every effort to optimize his/her sales performance and engage in activity on a daily basis that will facilitate this goal. Required responsibilities are as follows:
Keep management informed by submitting activity and result reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans,and monthly and annual territory analyses
Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by phone or in person.
Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through research, networking, and cold-calling.
Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.
Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining accurate expense accounts.
Updating and maintaining customer account records, including contact names and numbers for future sales.
Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
Aggressively following up on business opportunities.
